Bloom Yoga is a personal yoga companion for your family. It has 167 poses with real illustrations, descriptions, benefits and Sanskrit names. For supported poses it uses your camera and AI to give live coaching and scores — all on your device, no internet needed.
167 primary yoga poses across 6 categories — Standing, Seated, Floor, Prone, Supine and Inversion. Each pose shows the English name, Sanskrit name in 3 formats (simplified, latin with diacritics, and Devanagari script), a full description and benefits.

Yes — after the first load everything works offline. The AI model, all 167 poses and all images are cached on your device. You only need internet for the very first visit.
On Android: open in Chrome, tap the menu (⋮) and select Add to Home screen. On iPhone: open in Safari, tap the Share icon and select Add to Home Screen. The app will appear on your home screen like a native app.
🔍 Finding & Filtering Poses
Three filters are always visible — Category (Standing, Seated, Floor etc), Difficulty (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) and Pose Type (Balancing, Backbend, Twist etc). Tap More Filters to reveal two additional filters — Body Focus (target area like Hips, Core, Shoulders) and AI Tracking (AI Ready, Limited AI, Reference Only). All 5 filters work together to narrow results.
🟢 Beginner — foundational poses safe for anyone starting out. 🟡 Intermediate — requires some flexibility and body awareness. 🔴 Advanced — demanding poses requiring strength, flexibility and practice. Always listen to your body regardless of the label.
It filters poses by the body area they target most — Spine/Back, Hips, Shoulders, Core, Hamstrings, Balance, Chest or Flexibility. Useful when you want to focus your practice on a specific area.
📸 Camera & AI Coaching
Bloom Yoga uses MoveNet — a fast AI model by Google — that runs entirely on your device. It detects 17 body keypoints in real time through your camera and measures joint angles to coach your alignment. No data ever leaves your phone.
About 6–8 feet so your full body from head to feet is visible in the frame. For floor poses, prop your phone higher so it can see your whole body. The reference image on the right shows the target pose to match.
The coaching panel shows which area of your body needs attention — Spine, Arms, Hips or Balance. Cues like Lengthen through the crown of your head or Keep hips level and square tell you exactly what to adjust. When you hold good form for 5 seconds the hold timer starts.
Each time you enter a pose and then come out of it counts as one rep. It tracks how many times you have practised the pose in that session. Useful for flow sequences where you move in and out of the same pose.
Fitted clothing in a colour that contrasts with your background. Avoid baggy clothes as they can confuse joint detection. Good lighting makes a significant difference — natural light or a bright room works best.
The AI could not detect enough body keypoints with confidence. Step further back, improve the lighting, or make sure nothing is blocking your body from the camera view.
🏆 Scores & Results
Your score is the average of 4 body zones — Spine & Posture, Arms & Shoulders, Hips & Legs, and Balance & Symmetry. Each zone measures joint angles and body alignment using AI keypoint detection. The final score is taken from multiple frames at the end of your session for accuracy.
For some poses the camera angle, body occlusion or pose complexity makes accurate scoring unreliable. Rather than show a misleading number, Bloom Yoga shows coaching cues only so you still get useful guidance without a score that may not reflect reality.
It is a helpful guide, not a definitive judgement. The scoring uses 2D keypoint detection which works well for clear standing and seated poses but has limits. Think of it as a training aid — the zone breakdown and cues are more useful than the number itself.
